Why the Datacenter Is the Heart of Web Hosting
Behind every website is a server housed in a datacenter — also called an IDC (Internet Data Center): a purpose-built facility designed to keep servers running safely 24 hours a day, with redundant power, precision cooling, fire suppression, physical security and high-speed network connectivity. The quality of the datacenter directly affects the speed, stability and security of your website. A great website on a poor datacenter will still feel slow and go offline; an ordinary website on a great datacenter stays fast and online.
AsiaGB does not pick datacenters at random — we select only leading, internationally recognised datacenter providers, and place them in 3 strategic locations so we cover your visitors wherever they are in the world: Thailand, Singapore and the United States — all from the same starting price of ฿500/year.
What's Actually Inside a Datacenter
A datacenter is far more than a room full of computers. Every facility we use is built around six core systems that work together to keep your website online without interruption:
Dual utility feeds, UPS battery banks and diesel generators. If the grid fails, batteries carry the load instantly and generators take over within seconds — your server never loses power.
Servers generate constant heat. Precision air-conditioning and controlled airflow hold temperature and humidity steady around the clock to prevent overheating and hardware failure.
Multiple internet carriers connect to the building over separate fiber paths. If one link drops, traffic reroutes automatically — there is no single point of failure.
24-hour on-site staff, CCTV, access cards and biometric controls. Only authorised engineers can reach the server racks — your data is protected in the real world, not just online.
Very-early smoke detection and clean-agent gas suppression put out fire without water, so equipment and data stay protected even during a rare emergency.
A Network Operations Center watches power, cooling, network and security every minute of every day, catching issues before they ever affect your website.
Why We Run 3 Datacenters Across 3 Continents
Data travels at the speed of light, but distance still matters. The farther your visitor is from your server, the longer every request takes — this delay is called latency. A visitor in Bangkok loading a server in the USA can wait roughly 160–220 milliseconds on every single request; the same visitor on a Thai server waits only a few milliseconds. By offering Thailand, Singapore and the USA, AsiaGB lets you place your website close to the people who actually use it — for the fastest possible experience and better search rankings, since page speed is a Google ranking signal.

Our 3 Datacenters
Hand-picked — world-class infrastructure across 3 continents
The heart of our home-country service. Your servers sit inside the CS Loxinfo (CSL) data center — operated by one of Thailand's most established internet and datacenter providers, with more than 25 years in the industry. CSL runs a purpose-built, carrier-neutral data center in Bangkok, certified to ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 20000-1 (IT service management), and backed by a wider set of ISO certifications covering business continuity, energy and environmental management. For any website whose visitors are mainly in Thailand this is the best possible home — pages load fast with no cross-continent delay, and traffic stays on local Thai network routes.
The gateway to the rest of Asia. Your servers sit inside OVHcloud's SGP1 data center on Paya Lebar Road, Singapore — live since 2016 and operated by OVHcloud, the largest cloud provider in Europe with a global network of datacenters. Singapore is the internet hub of ASEAN, with world-class network density, multiple Tier-1 carriers and a direct connection to OVHcloud's own global fiber backbone — giving sub-50 ms response times to most major Asian cities. Every server is protected by OVHcloud's network-level Anti-DDoS, an infrastructure proven to absorb attacks larger than 1 Tbit/s. If your audience spans several Asian countries, Singapore is the ideal middle ground — and still very close to Thailand.
A foothold in the world's largest market. Your servers sit in OVHcloud's US-WEST-OR region in Hillsboro, Oregon (just outside Portland) on the US West Coast, operated by OVHcloud US — the same provider as our Singapore datacenter, so you get the same standard in both regions: servers OVHcloud designs and assembles itself, water-cooling technology, and OVHcloud's own worldwide fiber backbone. The West Coast location also sits closer to Asia-Pacific than the East Coast, so latency from Thailand is lower than before (roughly 160–220 milliseconds), while still covering the entire North American audience. Every plan runs on 100% SSD storage. This is the right home for English-language sites, businesses marketing to North America, or any site that connects to other services hosted in the United States.

FAQ
Datacenter FAQ
Common questions about where your website lives
What is a datacenter (IDC)?
A datacenter — or IDC (Internet Data Center) — is a purpose-built facility that houses servers and keeps them running 24/7. It provides redundant power, precision cooling, fire suppression, physical security and high-speed internet connectivity. Your website's files and database physically live on a server inside one of these facilities.
Why does AsiaGB use 3 different datacenters?
Distance creates delay (latency). By offering datacenters in Thailand, Singapore and the USA, you can place your website close to the people who actually visit it — a Thai-audience site on the Thailand datacenter, an ASEAN-wide site on Singapore, a US-facing site on Oregon. Closer servers mean faster page loads.
Which datacenter should I choose?
Choose by where most of your visitors are. Mainly Thai visitors → Thailand (CS Loxinfo). Visitors across several Asian countries → Singapore (OVHcloud). Visitors in the USA or an English-speaking audience → Oregon (OVHcloud US-WEST-OR). If you are unsure, the Thailand or Singapore datacenter suits most Thai businesses.
Can I move my website to a different datacenter later?
Yes. Every location uses the same DirectAdmin control panel, so our team can migrate your account between datacenters. Just open a ticket and we will arrange the move with minimal downtime.
What happens if a datacenter loses power?
Every datacenter we use has redundant power — UPS battery banks bridge the gap instantly and diesel generators take over within seconds, so servers keep running through a utility outage. Network connectivity is similarly redundant, with multiple carriers on separate fiber paths.
Is my data safe in a datacenter abroad?
Yes. The Singapore facility is PDPA-compliant and the providers we use hold internationally recognised security certifications. Your data is protected by 24-hour physical security, network-level protection and regular backups — and our Thai support team manages everything for you, wherever the server sits.
